Where we Specialize
Development of Photovoltaic Power Stations
Solar energy in our country, due to its geographical position and its special climatic characteristics, is a highly efficient form of energy production.
This is evidenced by its high penetration rate as it occupies about 40% of the installed RES capacity in Greece. The development of a photovoltaic (PV) park is addressed to a wide range of investors as there is the possibility of installing parks of small power (some KW) to very large (MW).
The Group undertakes:
- informing investors about the development of photovoltaic power stations
- finding suitable plots for the development of a PV park and checking their suitability
- informing investors about the regulatory framework, but also
- the entire process concerning the licensing of a project, from the initial stage of the feasibility study to the stage of construction and operation
Development of Wind Farms
Wind energy is the fastest growing form of energy (renewable or not) in Greece and Europe today.
As far as Greece is concerned, it constitutes 45% of the installed RES capacity and 51% of the energy produced by RES. Despite its high penetration rate, there is a huge wind potential that can be exploited, according to studies carried out by the Center for Renewable Energy Sources.
With the costs of installing a wind farm constantly decreasing and with the price of electricity from wind installations being formed at advantageous prices, an investment in this RES technology is considered profitable and low-risk.
Of particular interest are small wind farms under 60kW, where the compensation price is particularly high and new investments are expected after the new law of the Ministry of Energy, which enables the licensing, installation, interconnection and operation of small wind turbines.
The Group undertakes:
- informing investors about the development of wind farms
- informing investors about the regulatory framework, but also
- the entire process concerning the licensing of a project, from the initial stage of the feasibility study to the stage of construction and operation
Development of Biomass Power Stations
Electricity generation from biomass or biogas is not particularly developed in Greece.
Nevertheless, it is one of the particularly lucrative investments in the field of Renewable Energy Sources.
Regarding solid biofuels, the production of electricity is compensated by the Electricity Market Operator (EMO) with an amount of 0.15-0.20 €/kWh depending on the source of origin, the form of fuel and the installed capacity of the project,
As far as biogas is concerned, the compensation price from EMO ranges from 0.09945-0.22 €/kWh, making such an investment particularly attractive as the raw material of the fuel can be sought at a particularly low price since it mainly concerns waste that is converted into fuel through a low treatment cost, usually anaerobic digestion.
The comparative advantage of electricity generation from biomass / biogas is that the energy production is continuous and is not affected by exogenous and imponderable factors such as climate.
The Group undertakes:
- informing investors about the development of biomass/biogas power stations
- informing investors about the regulatory framework, but also
- the entire process related to the licensing of the project, from the initial stage of the feasibility study of a project to the stage of start of construction and operation
Development of Small Hydropower Stations
Hydropower has been a stable pillar of the country’s electrical system for decades. This is due to the environmental friendliness of this technology, its high reliability, the fast depreciation of the investment and the high hydrodynamics of Greece.
Hydropower production systems are considered small when their power is less than 5MW and are considered particularly attractive due to the low operating costs, their easy connection to the electricity distribution network, their high efficiency compared to the rest of the RES but also because of the price with which the Electricity Market Operator compensates the producers which is 0.08785 €/kWh.
The Group undertakes:
- informing investors about the development of hydropower stations
- informing investors about the regulatory framework, but also
- the entire process concerning the licensing of a project, from the initial stage of the feasibility study to the stage of construction and operation
